As I reflect upon the year I am mindful of all the ways students are able to engage in meeting SPBC’s goals and objectives.  In Biblical Instruction they are currently studying Wisdom Literature and soon will study from six of Paul’s letters.  In Relevant Scholarship they are enjoying learning from Dr. Curt Niccum a widely respected scholar.  Aside from his class lectures Curt presented a seminar on the Dead Sea Scrolls which was well received by the wider Christian community.  In Spiritual Growth the students will begin a class this week on Christian Spiritual Formation.  In Ministry Skills the students are undergoing a year long course enabling them to serve in a variety of ministries.  This past weekend several students helped organize and/or lead various aspects of a 12 hour Encounter with God Seminar for ladies.  In Personal & Interpersonal Development students are challenged on a weekly basis in a classroom of six cultures to learn more about themselves and others.  This is truly a great journey the students are on and we are tremendously blessed that God has allowed us to be a part of that shaping.

The BIG highlight for us in this issue is our Graduate Reunion & Lectureship.  Hosted every five years this gives staff and graduates a chance to catch up with each other over a four and a half day event.  It is a time of great Refreshing, Renewal and Reviving.  All went away greatly encouraged!

Please remember the Acts 4 Project as we seek new ways to help address our financial needs.  Several have already contributed and we have been greatly encouraged by that.
