Graduation night is a very special night on the College calendar and it always brings a great deal of joy, satisfaction, and I want to say…pride (but from a Christian perspective of course). The year 2009 saw six fine Christians (picture above) graduate and I was extremely proud as I listened to their reflections on the last 2-3 years of their life. It is at times like this that we as staff are reminded of what the “big picture” is all about. The change from when they come in to when they graduate truly encapsulates the concept of “growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ”. Then to listen to their excitement as they talk about returning to wherever home is, or whatever is next in their journey, with the desire to share and spread this brings the utmost joy and fulfillment to our own labours.
I wish to take this opportunity to thank you for being a part of this journey with us and these graduates. I look ahead to 2010 in excitement toward our Graduate Reunion (June 4-8) and invite you to be a part of this celebration.
Lastly, 2010 will also bring its challenges to us in a number of ways. The foremost faith step we have is for continuing finances for the College itself, and for the students coming in. We will be announcing the Acts 4 Project in January which will be a way that all friends, graduates, and congregations can help us address these needs.
